Just a warning guys, sending out fun e cards can be addictive, and if you try to do so at work you certainly could land yourself in hot water! While most bosses and managers may be understanding if they catch you sending out a birthday e card to your grandma, or a romantic anniversary themed card to your wife, if you’re caught sending out cards simply to cure boredom you’re probably going to land in some hot water! I say this from experience, as while I am a diligent employee and always get my work done, I find that I’m lot more productive if I use a small percentage of my work time to have a little fun as well. While it’s something that is considered fine to do at my office, we all should use moderation and beware of company policies before having fun on the internet - I’d hate for anyone to get in trouble.
I did have an embarrassing situation come up once though. You see I was looking at fun e cards online and wanted to send out one of the humor e cards I had found to a close work colleague. The problem came when I accidentally sent the card out to the entire office staff. It was quite an embarrassing situation, and while many of my coworkers did quite enjoy the funny card, I don’t think it really made me look too professional.
